May I suggest using inAudible (freeware) to make m4b lossless rips?

I tried that but it didn’t seem to work, it took secconds to make the copies where this other program took over 12hours on a very powerful pc.
also had a very hard time finding the latest version. I personally don’t like m4b files they don’t work on my tablet player right

That’s exactly how inAudible is supposed to work.
A True Decrypt rip from aax doesn’t involve file conversion and thus takes no time, but it gives you an m4b file which is an exact (lossless) copy of the original aax file (with DMR stripped of course).
It has the original chapter markers embedded, and so is very convenient in case mp3 splitting is needed thereafter.
