Please remove this link. You are taking money directly away from the author and publisher and preventing further work by NR Walker to become audio. This is not a victimless crime. You are truly hurting the author financially, but also her relationship with the publisher of the audio who will watch sales carefully to see if more of her work is worth the investment to produce in audio. If you do not have the funds to purchase the audiobook please contact me and I will send you a promotional copy in exchange for an honest review - at least in that way you can greatly help the author and the narrator. This is our living… Please support the writers you love.

You are making an assumption that everybody who downloads these are not both able, and willing, to pay for them. I for example buy audiobooks all the damned time, in fact I own most of the books that you have narrated. Over half of the books that I have downloaded from this site I have since bought from Audible. Those that I have not bought, I have done so for one reason- I didn’t like them, and I cannot afford to pay $15 or more for an audiobook that I do not like.
Furthermore, people who listen to audiobooks do in fact review them, without prompting on good reads. Again, using the example of myself, put a review on goodreads for Cronin’s key where I described it as having potential to be good but with every hardship solved by a random ass pull or dues ex machina hard to enjoy. Not exactly the sort of review that an author particularly wants to get.
After listening to the audiobook version that I did download from this website, I will most likely add to that review, Narrator was, as he tends to be, excellent, but still not a book particularly worth listening to.
Finally, unless you are willing to give a promotional copy, which is ALSO the author or yourself, not being paid, for EVERY audiobook that people cannot afford, and given things are likely to be unable to afford for some time. Your offer completely defeats the purpose of asking people to stop downloading audiobooks for free. Or at least downloading them until they are able to pay for them.

honestly, you’d think people in the business would know how this works.
i’d bet 50% of ppl downloading gay audiobooks are teenagers who have 0 money for it or would be disowned by their parents if they paid for this.
then there’s another huge group who live in countries for which audio book prices are fucking utopical.
this IS a victimless “crime”. it’s actually probably profitable for you, because if I couldn’t download a bunch of those, i’d never buy any of the others.

Kabada is very right when it comes to my country. Here Audiobooks are non existent. If i have to buy from audible… 1 book is the equivalent of 1 to 3 days pay.
